Presentation Title & Synopsis

“The New Intelligence: How AI Is Redefining the Role of Insights.”
AI is opening up extraordinary new possibilities for Insights — allowing us to understand people, culture and behaviour with greater speed, scale and depth than ever before. But it also brings a very real risk: that if we rely too heavily on what machines can synthesise, we end up with a “glorified average” — answers that sound convincing, but smooth away the nuance, tension and originality that make great insight valuable.
  • AI is making insight faster and more accessible — but not necessarily better. As intelligence becomes abundant, the premium shifts towards judgement: knowing what to trust, what to challenge and what genuinely matters.
  • Data can exist without AI. AI should never exist without data. The quality of any AI-powered insight is only as strong as the evidence beneath it. Without robust, relevant and well-governed data, AI risks becoming a very sophisticated engine for producing plausible answers rather than truthful ones.
  • The future is not human versus machine, but human judgement amplified by machine intelligence. Michael will share how dentsu is developing tools and safeguards that harness AI’s speed and scale while protecting the rigour, provenance and human interpretation that turn information into genuine insight.
